Myconate contains the biologically active isoflavone – formononetin which is a natural signaling compound that stimulates the development of mycorrhizal fungi. Myconate increases the growth and colonization of roots by beneficial Vesicular-Arbuscular Mycorrhizal (VAM) fungi. An enhanced VAM mycorrhizal network effectively increases the absorbing surface area of roots and hence the amount of soil available to support the plant. This enables the plant to access and absorb more water, which is especially beneficial under dry conditions.

VAM also have the ability to extract soil nutrients which the plant cannot normally access, this makes plants with well-developed mycorrhizal systems more fertilizer efficient and enables plants to perform better under conditions of high soil cation exchange capacity (CEC).

Myconate is safe and easy to apply, and management practices don’t have to be adjusted in any way. Purpose-specific formulations allow Myconate to be applied to seed, to tank mix it with starter fertilizer during planting, or apply it to soil in sprays, side-dressings, drenches or through overhead irrigation systems. Any method which gets the Myconate down into the root zone where it can do its job is satisfactory.

Myconate works quickly. As soon as roots appear, they are quickly colonized by mycorrhizal fungi, giving you a much larger root system which improves water and fertilizer uptake. Plants will be healthier and produce bigger yields.
