Innatus 3G is a technology platform
The first family of peptides brought to the evaluation stage with partners was Innatus 3G. The design space of Innatus 3G is defined by amino acid sequence. Peptides that conform to this constitute a technology platform, and can be customized for particular uses.
Innatus 3G peptides lead to a Hypersensitivity Response (HR+) in treated plants and confer defense against biotic and abiotic stresses. They can be applied either to seeds or to the foliage of target crops.
Plant Health Care has conducted field trials across the Midwestern USA. For four consecutive years, results have consistently shown that harvest yields of corn and soy are improved. In 2016 this was confirmed in field trials conducted by several of our evaluation partners.
In specialist studies, certain Innatus 3G peptides have been shown to induce defense responses against attack by various pests and diseases, including Asian Soybean Rust. In field studies designed to evaluate drought stress in corn, plants treated with Innatus 3G gave higher yields.
