Terra-Sorb® Seedcoat Gel is a dry, natural, superabsorbent polymer mixed with graphite to coat seeds before planting. This ultra-fine coating absorbs water when wet, which forces the shell of the seed to open improving germination and water availability.
Moisture absorbing particles in Terra-Sorb® Seedcoat Gel expand as they draw moisture from the soil water or humid air near the seed. In expanding, they form a gel water reservoir at the seed surface. Moisture held by the gel softens seed tissues, while promoting rapid germination. Simply mix Terra-Sorb® Seedcoat Gel dry with seed at the rate of one pound per hundred pounds of seed. Because Terra-Sorb® Seedcoat Gel contains graphite, it lubricates planting machinery and maximizes efficiency of seeding.
