PHC® Nursery/Media Mix is a highly effective, dry, spore inoculant for establishing vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhizal (VAM) fungi symbiosis on roots of many horticultural plants, including trees and shrubs, flowers, grasses, and herbs. VAM plants have better survival and growth, absorb more phosphorus and other mineral elements, and have improved abilities to efficiently absorb more water from soil than plants without VAM. This product also contains several strains of nitrogen fixing and phosphorus solubilizing bacteria. All these beneficial biological microorganisms are blended with organic soil amendments, in a granular form.
