Harp-N-Tek Products
N-Hibit™ Seed Treatment is a new seed treatment that is a unique nematode suppression tool for cotton. N-Hibit has the only mode of action that provides a way to fight nematodes from the Inside-Out. Harp-N-Tek™ technology turns on the plant’s own growth and self-defense systems to Defend from Within. This results in a healthier plant with over 50% fewer nematode eggs among the roots. The nematode egg reductions were consistent against Reniform and Root Knot Nematodes. The cause of these reductions is being studied. One possibility is that Harpin-treated plants may exude something that repels nematodes or that interferes with nematode reproduction.
Research also shows that N-Hibit-treated cotton produces yield increases compared with untreated cotton in studies with Reniform Nematodes and with Root Knot Nematodes.
Across seven replicated commercial trials, the average yield increase with N-Hibit treated cotton vs. untreated was 9.7%.
Many producers have added N-Hibit to their nematode management strategy because N-Hibit costs much less than standard nematicide treatments, is easy to use, has an excellent safety profile, and is not a restricted use product. N-Hibit provides value both for its effect on nematodes and effects on plant health and yield.
ProAct™ Plant Health Regulator delivers highly profitable yield increases in cotton. ProAct foliar applications turn on the plant’s growth and self-defense mechanisms that trigger improved crop vigor, stamina, and health. Cotton sets more bolls, with more lint per boll.
Year after year, ProAct has consistently delivered profitable yield increases now averaging more than 65 lbs/acre and a 5-to-1 return on investment.
ProAct has a broad application window from 2-leaf to first bloom. This provides flexibility of timing and convenience. Best results over the years have been earlier applications timed to occur with post-emergence herbicides. But results as late as first bloom are very positive as well. ProAct is compatible with almost any post-emergence herbicide, growth regulator, insecticide, foliar nutrient, or other crop protection products. ProAct should be added to the spray tank first. Because ProAct strengthens plant health, tank mixing ProAct with other products that tend to induce plant stress has been a beneficial strategy.
